I'm sitting alone
in a cafe
There is a boy and his dad sitting outside the glass window
eating pastries
the boy keeps turning around and greeting me
they are probably tourists
swedish maybe
the dad takes shy glimpses of me as well
he is alone too
we could share our loneliness
they leave
I am listening to my current favorite song
there is an opportunity
everywhere you look
today I choose to be alone
but it is my choice
I hold it dearly
I try to make sure
I enhale life
everyday
because it's constant
and sometimes
it's really beautiful
and I thank this little boy
and his dad
just for being there
